After years of dreaming, praying, and preparing, we are officially live! 🙏

My name is E.A. Gray, Owner & Head Stringer of ELITE STRING LAB. This is more than a business — it’s a calling. It’s the beautiful blend of my love for lacrosse, tennis, creating with my hands, and most importantly, the desire to honor God through excellence and service.

HOW IT ALL STARTED

As a kid in New Jersey, my dad taught me how to make keychains from spools of lace. My Swedish grandmother (Mormor) showed me the joy of working with my hands. Those early lessons planted seeds that God would later grow.

In 2005, I walked onto the lacrosse team at SCAD with zero experience. I fell in love with the sport and became obsessed with stringing the perfect pocket. What started as helping teammates soon became a true passion.

THE TENNIS CHAPTER

Around 2020, my wife Amber and I were looking for a sport we could enjoy together long-term. She had played tennis since high school, so I decided to join her. I fell in love with the game, trained under an amazing coach, and started competing in USTA leagues. My doubles partner Joshua, a certified stringer, taught me the art of tennis stringing. What began as a simple barter turned into a full passion. I eventually bought my own Gamma XLT stringer and now string for our family and teammates who trust the quality of our work.

WHY WE STARTED THIS BUSINESS

This shop is a family legacy I’m building with God’s guidance — for my son (born February 2026) and any future children. One day, I hope to teach them the craft, just as my dad and grandmother taught me. My prayer is that Elite String Lab becomes a testimony of hard work, integrity, and using the gifts God gave me to serve others.
